Acheson Teaching Hospital Pharmacy

In a nationally unique teaching and learning model, OSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital Pharmacy run by OSU College of Pharmacy

The partnership between OSU Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy represents a uniquely beneficial relationship among universities in the nation.  It represents a new frontier in the provision of pharmacy services by the College of Pharmacy to Veterinary Medicine. Medications are prepared and dispensed for both inpatient and outpatient veterinary patients including canine, feline, equine, bovine, ovine, caprine, alpaca and swine.

This relationship has a profound impact on redefining the supportive relationship that pharmacy provides for veterinary professionals.  The Vet Hospital Pharmacy (named The Acheson Teaching Hospital Pharmacy) provides exceptional learning opportunities for practicing pharmacists and veterinarians and for OSU College of Pharmacy PharmD students in their P4 year and others who find themselves focusing on veterinary pharmacy practice during their time at OSU.

The staff at the Veterinary school pharmacy is led by Director of Pharmacy, Brian Bowers, PharmD.
